Counselor Feedback

Dear A., You asked for some feedback. I was going to provide it anyway but I was delighted when you asked. It’s a sign of your professionalism and your genuine concern and passion for your work. As I've come to know and respect you, I expect nothing less. You’ve chosen well in terms of your profession. You're good at this. A few years ago I read an article in the New York Times about people in the caring professions. I loved it and gave a copy to my dear friend, whom I consider to be the best counselor I have met in the 40 years that I've been working with various counselors. I'd like to share it with you, as well. It's called " The Pets in my Practice " In the third-to-last paragraph, the author reveals what he describes as "greatest influence on the healing process in psychotherapy."
